Case Study: How Better Page Structure Helped Boost Traffic and Clicks

The client, a medical cosmetic clinic,  had valuable blog content and strong service offerings, but it wasn’t reaching its full potential in search.

Key pages were buried in rankings, and high-potential posts weren’t converting impressions into clicks. By refining headlines, improving internal linking, and aligning copy with actual search intent, we turned dormant pages into active contributors to site traffic and engagement.

The Challenge

Dr. Lian Beauty’s website had strong service offerings and blog content, but it wasn’t ranking where it mattered most. Key transactional and commercial keywords—like “Brazilian laser hair removal” and “microneedling for hyperpigmentation”—were underperforming. The site’s headlines, internal links, and on-page copy lacked the clarity and intent targeting needed to fully convert search visibility into action.

The Solution

I started by running focused keyword research to uncover what potential clients were actually typing into search—terms like “RF microneedling for dark skin”, “skin tightening treatments Ontario”, and “best laser for acne scars.”

From there, I wrote, and subsequently updated a predetermined number of blog posts, web copy for service pages, and adjusted content structure to reflect those search patterns more closely. For example, posts like “Potenza RF vs. Morpheus8” was written to match high-intent comparison searches.

We also revised meta descriptions to encourage more clicks from search results. Behind the scenes, I improved internal linking between related blog posts and core service pages, helping visitors find what they need faster and signalling topical authority to Google.

The Result

Within one month of implementing on-page improvements, website traffic increased from 6,393 to 7,523 total visits.

Click-through rate (CTR) also rose from 1.7% to 1.9%, reflecting stronger alignment between search intent and content. Blog updates like “Potenza RF vs. Morpheus8” saw notable lifts, reaching over 1,174 views, while other content—such as “Does RF Microneedling Burn Fat?”—brought in 1,331 engaged visits.

These results weren’t just numbers—they represented real, qualified traffic actively exploring treatments, driving deeper site engagement and more informed leads for the clinic.
